The Core Challenge
Digitizing 180 years of craftsmanship.
Luxury jewelry is defined by how light interacts with physical materials. Tiffany required a digital transformation that went beyond static rendering. They needed an ecosystem where diamonds refract light with physical accuracy (caustics) and precious metals maintain their signature luster across all digital touchpoints. The challenge was building high-fidelity 3D assets that are light enough for mobile browsers but detailed enough for the world's most discerning luxury clientele.
The Mission
Architectonic Approach
How we
built it.
A meticulous, phased approach ensuring high fidelity output from zero to one.
Shader Science
Developing custom PBR shaders to replicate the specific optical properties of platinum and 18k gold.
Configurator Core
Architecting a modular 3D engine for real-time ring and stone customization.
AR Try-On Hub
Deploying web-native Augmented Reality to allow virtual fitting on any mobile device.
Core DNA
Form meets
Function.
Every element was engineered to dissolve friction and amplify engagement.
Physically-Accurate Material Shaders
Engineered bespoke WebGL shaders that simulate the complex light refraction and internal dispersion of high-grade diamonds. This ensures 'The Tiffany Sparkle' is consistently rendered in real-time.
Modular 3D Configurator
Built a high-performance logic mesh allowing users to mix shanks, settings, and stones dynamically. The system automatically updates vertex data and pricing based on real-time inventory API sync.
High-Fidelity AR Virtual Try-On
Integrated a zero-latency WebXR vision system for mobile browser inspection. Users can virtually 'wear' complex jewelry pieces, with the software tracking environmental lighting for perfect material integration.
Precision CAD-to-Web Pipeline
Developed an automated ingestion engine that converts high-poly jewelry CAD files into hyper-optimized, medical-grade glTF assets with zero loss in visual craftsmanship.
Phase 0: Discovery
Auditing the
Inefficiency.
Before engineering a single line of code, we performed an exhaustive audit of the existing bottlenecks. We mapped user friction, API latency, and operational manual labor to derive a deterministic roadmap for the new ecosystem.
Discovery Outcome
Identification of 14 high-friction manual touchpoints.
Mapping of real-time inventory API synchronization requirements.
Development of a sovereign security protocol for patient data.
Result: Unified Strategy Roadmap 1.0
The Impact
The future of luxury is immersive.
The digital transformation didn't just modernize the brand—it redefined how luxury is experienced online. Assets drove record engagement and significantly bridged the gap between digital discovery and physical acquisition.
